My most beautiful Christmas ever

I heard the silence singing

Without exaggerating, the most beautiful Christmas I ever had it was in the heart of the mountains, alone, on a full moon night.

That year I had the chance to spend two months alone, like a mountain Robinson. I had spent my day watching Christmas movies, Die Hard (there are two types of people in the world, the ones who think Die Hard is a Christmas movie ant the ones who are wrong) 🙃 and other lesser-known movies. I was feeling good, at peace with everything.

I wanted to go to bed, but first I went outside for some fresh air.

Everything was covered in snow. It was cold, the snow was squeaking under my feet and it shone white and blue as if it were made of diamonds. And the moon … everything was magical blue all around, so I decided to go to the top, where the view was a window to a fairy-tale.

I took some thicker clothes, put on my boots, took a stick and, followed by my dogs, started to climb the path. When I reached the top, the view took my breath away… In the distance I could see the other mountain peaks and the air was bathed in this incredible blue light, almost liquid… I had the impression that I could swim to until there.

After staying there for a while, I started following the path again. It was so enchanting that from time to time I found myself expecting to come face to face with that Magical Bird from my childhood stories, which would grant me three wishes …

After a while, the path entered the forest and at one point the trees began to look more and more like not so friendly giants’ shadows. So I began to fear that now, if I did not meet the Magical Bird, I’d better go back: there was where the Baba Yaga’s domain began.

So I went back and enjoyed the magic of that night as much as I could.

Even now, the full moon transports me to that Christmas, no matter the season. 💖

I wish you a gentle and joyful Christmas!
